Zqdo partnered with the Paperless Post Party Shop team to improve mobile usability and streamline the browsing experience within their Shopify storefront.
The engagement focused on making product discovery easier—particularly on mobile—by refining navigation structure, improving collection page behavior, and removing layout friction that was impacting the overall shopping flow.
The Challenge
Several UX opportunities were identified that were affecting how customers browsed and interacted with the storefront:
- The search feature was hidden inside the mobile hamburger menu, limiting discoverability
- “Add to Cart” functionality was not available on mobile collection pages
- Layout spacing inconsistencies were pushing products too far down the page
- Collection pagination required excessive navigation, especially on mobile
- Customers lost their browsing position when returning from product pages
These issues created unnecessary friction across key conversion paths.
Approach

Implementation
Mobile Navigation & Search Improvements
We refined the mobile menu layout to make the search bar more prominent and easier for customers to access. This adjustment helps users quickly locate products without navigating through multiple layers.
Collection Page Conversion Enhancements
To improve product discovery and reduce browsing friction:
- Increased the initial product load count to display more items upfront
- Implemented a dynamic “Load More” button for smoother browsing
- Enabled mobile “Add to Cart” functionality directly from collection pages
These updates reduce unnecessary page transitions and improve conversion flow on mobile devices.
Scroll Position Memory
We implemented scroll position persistence so that when customers navigate from a collection page to a product and back, they return to their previous browsing position.
